Peter Andre has broken down during a TV interview - telling the reporter that he didn't want to continue with the conversation.

The singer was being interviewed by Kay Burley on Sky News when she brought up the subject of Katie Price and Alex Reid's marriage, and then went on to quiz him about the future of his children.

She showed a video clip of Dwight Yorke, father of Katie's son Harvey, saying he was unhappy with Peter's ambitions to adopt Harvey when he was married to the glamour model.

Dwight said: "I understand he has to play a role because that comes as part of the baggage when you get involved with Kate.

"But to stand there and say he was going to adopt my kid - and now look what's happened, four years down the road - is he prepared to come and adopt Harvey at this stage? I don't think so. That should not have been mentioned."

An emotional Pete responded: "I love that child. I didn't ask to adopt him to be disrespectful. I'm so proud to have him in my life and it angers me when I hear comments like that."

Interviewer Kay Burley then asked him how he would feel if Alex Reid asked to adopt his children with Katie - Junior and Princess.

Pete repsponded: "Nobody's going to take my kids away from me", before becoming tearful and saying "I didn't expect that, I'm sorry."

When the reporter moved on to ask Pete about his tour, he replied: "I'd rather just stop, thanks."

Poor old Pete!
