Zimbabwe Police arrest six more WOZA protesters
Zimbabwe Police Monday arrested six female members of the pressure group, Women and Men of Zimbabwe Arise (WOZA), for holding a protest on the streets of Bulawayo.
Zimbabwe Police Monday arrested six female members of the pressure group, Women and Men of Zimbabwe Arise (WOZA), for holding a protest on the streets of Bulawayo.
According to WOZA sources, the six women were picked up while marching with a WOZA delegation in a bid to present the pressure group's education report at the Mhlahlandlela Government Complex.
They were later taken to Drill Hall in Bulawayo while the group's lawyers made efforts to secure their release.
Meanwhile, WOZA's Education Report contains 'a list of demands', calling for improved education standards in Zimbabwe.
Members of the group in recent times have been running into trouble with Zimbabw ean authorities over their street protests.
